Description: Currently deployed devices are retrieved from the Oceans 3.0 database using sitedevice, device, site, and device category tables. The SQL script: "ONC_Instruments_All_20260202.sql" is used to populate this feature class. Last updated 2026-02-09.
Description: This polyline feature class shows the approximate locations of current and past Ocean NetworksCanada extension cable deployments at Endeavour (as of 31 December 2023). The routes were determined by ROV tracklines where cables are greater than 70 m in length and as a best estimate where cables are less than 70 m. Cables less than 70 m are aligned with the start and end points of the current device positions. This layer also includes the remaining segment of the first laid Main Endeavour Field cable. This section is currently inaccessible by ROV due to a large crevice.
Description: Timesand positionsof observed debris during submersibledives havebeen extracted from the dive logger commentsin the Oceans 2.0 databaseand classified by type. This layer represents what was observed at the time listed and does not necessarily distinguish whether or not the debris have been retrieved in later dives. Theobservationshave been compiled into a layer and hyperlinks to the video addedusing the time string. If the link does not go directly to the point listed in the video, then it is likely that the video is not yet archived for that dive. Please contact Ocean Networks Canada for more information on dive video.

Description: This polyline dataset provides one ROV track line per dive. All data are based on the navigation sensors of the ROV ranging between 1Hz and 0.02Hz, depending on availability. The track line is based on the interpolation of filtered data with major outliers removed. For ROPOS, the data are as received from the provider and have been run through a Kalman filter. For Millennium, Jason II, Hercules, Argus, Atalanta, and Odysseus the data are manually quality controlled for spikes and range tests. The navigation sensors may have occasionally lost contact with the ship due to range or noise issues, which can cause some outliers or gaps in the data. However, data here are considered continuous during a dive. Further information on ONCdives can be obtained from the Dive Listing page at http://data.oceannetworks.ca/Cruises.ROPOS specific notes: R1081 was a third-party dive and there are no navigation data available to produce a line geometry.Millennium specific notes: Dives M0001, M0002, and M0003 do not contain line geometry. These are test dives that did not reach bottom. As the navigation system was still being setup at the time, no latitude and longitude values are available for these dives.Jason specific notes: Dive J0833 recovered after the first 20 m due to a thruster ground fault on the ROV. There are no navigation data available for this time period, and therefore, there is no track line geometry for this dive. Dive J0834 data stream begins at ~400 m depth and ~25 min into the dive. As the ROV is simply descending at this time, it is assumed that the ROV is not moving horizontally. Alvin specific notes: Alvin dives for the year 2000 contain many outliers. The quality of these data are questionable. Some outliers have been removed from later dives.Tiburon: Major outliers have been removed.Odysseus Specific Notes: Data gaps exist for OY005 due to navigation system failure. Major outliers have been removed but navigation data had many problems. Use with caution.Third party trackline attribute timestamps from IEDA were assumed to be in EDT and have been converted to UTC to match the data record timestamps.
